UFC 94 Update - And the Favorites are...

UFC 94 is only a few days away and online sportsbook betting fans need to start thinking about which fighters they are going to lay their money on.
I’ll do a write-up on both the Lyotoa Machida versus Thiago Silva fight as well as a write-up on the B.J. Penn vs. Georges St. Pierre fight later on this week, but in the mean time, let’s take a look at each bout and see if the fighting lines have changed at all in the BetUS Sportsbook.
UFC 94 Update
Steven Bonnar vs. Jon Jones - - This is a less “sexy” bout than the St. Pierre vs. Penn and the Machida vs. Silva fight but the online UFC betting odds, Bonnar -175 vs. Jones +135, says that the bout should be a close one. It makes sense for fight fans to put some money on Jones if they believe he has any shot in this bout. He could easily upset Bonnar and put UFC 94 into the profit margin column. Lest we forget, the Super Bowl is the day after. So, padding our bankrolls before the NFL’s marquee game sure would help things some!
Thiago Silva vs. Lyoto Machida - - This is one of the most anticipated fights in UFC history because Silva is undefeated and considered by some to be the best up and comer in MMA right now. But Thiago faces one of the toughest men in the world in Lyoto Machida. Machida is just a mean dude. So far the money hasn’t gone either way from the BetUS online odds makers’ initial line that has made Machida a decided 3 to 1 favorite. Lyoto Machida is -300 in this bout. Thiago Silva, with that 13 and 0 undefeated record is +200. This is another fight that could pad our bankrolls going into Sunday, but we might have to convince ourselves to bet on Silva.
Georges St. Pierre vs. B.J. Penn - - Talk about an anticipated fight! Already the blogs are abuzz with whether or not B.J. Penn can exact revenge on St. Pierre in this bout. It’s going to come down to heart and style in this one which is why the online betting odds are so close. Penn is listed +135 in the BetUS online sportsbook to beat St. Pierre. His odds haven’t changed. St. Pierre’s odds haven’t changed either at -175 which means that fight fans are finding it difficult to pick the winner in this one. This should be a contender for fight of the year because Penn is going to go all out but St. Pierre has absolutely no fear. This is a big one.
