Blackburn Rovers lost 2:0 at the Old Trafford at the weekend. They had not been expected to take anything away from that match but the loss could still have cost them. They can thank Burnley for taking care of that by beating Hull City and denying Hull the chance to claw out of the relegation zone.

It is therefore important for Blackburn to win this match, as they might not be so lucky to avoid the drop this time around if they don’t, seeing they are taking on a relegation rival. It will also be important they not lose the match either as that would be costly. As such, Blackburn is more likely to adopt a cautious approach and if the proceedings are not decided by the 60th minute, expect them to fight for the draw and a point for their effort. Portsmouth are on a bit of a roll lately and they seem to have found their scoring feet.
