Survivor Samoa Betting Futures
by Ian James

Survivor enters its 19th season this year, and it’s as popular or ever amongst loyal fans and entertainment betting fanatics alike. Samoa is the desolate location this year, and it fits the typical location as it’s a mix of beauty and harsh conditions that will provide the stage for some great reality television. The season will premiere on Thursday, September 17, 2009 on CBS.
Applications were due by January 14, 2009 and out of the 10’s of thousands of people who applied, approximately 800 were invited for a preliminary interview. If you make it past the first cut, approximately 48 semi-finalists were invited to Los Angeles in April 2009 for final interviews with the producers. From there, 20 lucky individuals are selected to be contestants in the show. Being the most diverse and bettor friendly Sportsbook around, BetUS has odds on all the contestants to win as well as which tribe is going to take it this year.

As we really don’t know much about the contestants just yet it would be wise to wait until a few episodes pass before making a bet on who you think has the game to outwit and outplay the other hopefuls. Another bet you can make is which sex will take down the crown and the odds are very even with the males coming in as the slight favorite at -125 while the odds on the winner being a woman is -115.
