Erin Andrews Peeping Tom Arrested

There has finally been a trigger man arrested in the now infamous Erin Andrews peep hole video. Michael David Barrett, 47, of Westmont, Ill was arrested at the Chicago O'Hare International Airport on Friday after the FBI built up enough evidence to charge Barrett.

He was shipped back California where he will face charges of interstate stalking for allegedly taking videos of Andrews in her hotel room by first altering the peep hole and using his cell phone to take the video.

He tried to sell the videos to various websites such as TMZ who declined the purchase but were helpful in providing information to the FBI that led to Barrett’s arrest.

An official FBI affidavit said Barrett requested and stayed in a room near Andrews at a Nashville, Tennessee hotel where, not only the video that has gone very public was recorded, but also several other video’s including one in another hotel in Milwaukee.

The FBI allege that Barrett altered the peephole to the door of Andrews' hotel room so the magnification was reversed, allowing someone to see clearly into her room.

Barrett’s attorney, Rick Beuke, has been quick to defend his clients character who said he has known for a decade "I don't think he's even had a traffic ticket," said his lawyer, "He's as regular a guy as you'll ever meet – a great friend,". "I must have calls from 30 people wanting to know what they could do to help."

Apparently the Andrews videos are only the tip of the iceberg as Federal prosecutors claim that Barrett has taken several videos of women changing in their hotel room. It wouldn’t seem far fetched as this is a creepy, yet typical sexual fantasy for many people.

The people representing the case for Andrews are also questioning the security of the hotel, and so they should. Apparently Barrett called the hotel and specifically requested a room next to Andrews, a request that was granted. It raises the question of, what if this guy was a serial killer and not a serial peeping Tom.
