NFL Division Dollar Signs – Picking Division Winners is a Profitable Venture

Think it’s too late to cash in on an NFL Props wager that consists of picking the right division winners?

Analysis: The Patriots are sitting atop the AFC East with a 4-2 record but just a one-game lead over New York and a two-game lead over Miami. The smart money says the Pats will win this division as I suspect they – and quarterback Tom Brady – are going to get better with each passing week. Jumping on the Pats right now is probably a good idea NFL bettors, ya think?

AFC West

• Broncos -150
• Chargers +110
• Chiefs +15000
• Raiders +10000

Analysis: The party’s already over in the AFC West as the Broncos are clearly the best team in the division with their perfect record after six games. The 2-3 Chargers are arguably the league’s biggest underachievers and don’t stand a chance of overtaking the new-look Broncos.

AFC North

• Steelers Ev
• Ravens +225
• Bengals +225
• Browns +40000

Analysis: The Steelers and Bengals are tied atop the AFC North, but the Baltimore Ravens are lurking just one game back at 3-3 and have a legitimate chance to win this division, particularly of they can improve their lackluster offense as the season progresses. If the Ravens don’t take a big step forward over the next four to six weeks, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out the Steelers will almost assuredly win the AFC North again as I expect Cincinnati to start to fall back to earth at some point real soon.

AFC South

• Colts -2000
• Titans +30000
• Texans +1000
• Jaguars +1200

Analysis: The Colts are sitting pretty at a perfect 5-0 and even though the Jacksonville Jaguars are just two games back in the win column, the Colts are going to win the AFC South once again despite losing beloved head coach Tony Dungy to retirement. The odds might look huge at -200, but I say this division wager is already a lock!

NFC East

• Giants -200
• Cowboys +400
• Eagles +275
• Redskins +8000

Analysis: The Giants were exposed a bit in their Week 6 loss to New Orleans, but I’d save my money if I had to beat on Philadelphia or Dallas to overtake them and win the NFC East even though both ballclubs are a respectable 3-2 at this point. The G-Men have arguably the game’s best rushing attack and are better in all three areas than any of their division counterparts this season.
