‘Over’ Power Poll

BetUS Sportsbook presents this week's NFL power rankings for which teams that NFL handicapping experts have been making money on with 'overs' so far this season...

1: San Diego Chargers (4-1) (LW: 2) It took three special teams TDs to occur, but the Chargers/Broncos Monday night battle found a way to get past the closing number. Surprisingly, San Diego is the not so proud owner of the worst defense in the AFC West, as it has allowed a whopping 27.2 points per game this year. With a potent offense like this, the formula is ripe for plenty of over’s out west.

Up Next: Away @ Chiefs

2: Minnesota Vikings (5-1) (LW: 3) Another week, another easy 'over' in a Minnesota game. Both the offense and the defense had their hands in this result from Sunday, as the 'O' posted a big lead that the 'D' blew by giving up 21 points in the 4th to the Ravens. Still, after watching K Steven Hauschka's field goal sail wide at the gun, it's pretty clear that there's a mojo surrounding this team.

Up Next: Home vs. Ravens

3: Philadelphia Eagles (4-1) (LW: 2) The Eagles had no business losing to the Raiders on Sunday, and the defeat was crippling for a team that is trying to keep pace in the rough and tumble NFC. The offense was atrocious, only scoring nine points. A similar outing may find HC Andy Reid catching some heat like the coach on the other sideline, Washington’s Jim Zorn.

Up Next: Away @ Redskins

4: New York Giants (4-1-1) (LW: 6) What a shootout the Giants had with the Saints on Sunday afternoon! Unfortunately for the G-Men, it was New Orleans that was doing most of the scoring. It was a big embarrassment for a proud defense that failed to put any pressure on QB Drew Brees all game long. With a similar defensive effort, New York will be in another shootout come Sunday night.

Up Next: Home vs. Cardinals

5: Baltimore Ravens (4-2) (LW: 7) Props to QB Joe Flacco, who stood in the face of a fierce Minnesota defense all day and finally made some headway with a 21-point 4th quarter. If not for Flacco's final stanza, not only would the Ravens not have covered the three-point spread, but the game probably wouldn't have surpassed the 'total' either.

Up Next: Bye

6: Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2) (LW: NR) QB Ben Roethlisberger threw for 417 yards against a hapless Browns' defense on Sunday afternoon, but thanks to Cleveland's anemic offense, 'over' bettors had to sweat out a late 4th quarter victory. It appears as though RB Willie Parker's days are numbered, because HC Mike Tomlin has named former 1st round draft pick Rashard Mendenhall as his starting back.

Up Next: Home vs. Vikings

7: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-2) (LW: NR) For a team with an offense as bad as Tampa Bay's, it's impressive that they've played four 'overs' in six games. But the 'D' has given up at least 24 points in all but one game this season. Maybe the Bucs can get their first win on the other side of the pond this week.

Up Next: Neutral Site vs. Patriots

8: Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2) (LW: NR) Save for getting shut out in Seattle, the Jags have posted some impressive offensive performances of late, scoring at least 23 points in three of their L/4. However, it took overtime to beat the hapless Rams last week, which has to upset HC Jack Del Rio going into the bye week.

Up Next: Bye
