NFL Week 6 Betting - Best UNDER Teams
by Mike Rose

NFL point spreads have been tightening up throughout the league, but BetUS.com's NFL handicapping experts keep you in the know with this week's NFL power rankings for 'unders'...
1: Denver Broncos (5-0) (LW: 1) The Broncos' defense punished New England QB Tom Brady over and over again last week, making sure that they could keep their perfect record SU, ATS, and for 'under' bettors intact. Even though the contest went to overtime, K Matt Prater's field goal sent the Denver faithful and those with 'under' tickets home happy.
Up Next: Away @ Chargers
2: Washington Redskins (4-1) (LW: 5) Washington looked like it had Carolina dead to rights when it was up 17-2 in the third quarter last Sunday, but the wheels fell off and cost the Skins an outright victory. It nearly cost 'under' bettors a winning ticket as well, but fortunately, the game stayed away by the most slender of margins.
Up Next: Home vs. Chiefs
3: Arizona Cardinals (3-1) (LW: 8) The 'under' didn't make it by much, but when the bodies were unpiled by the goal line on the game's final meaningful play, the Cardinals held the Texans just inches short of the touchdown that would've put the game 'over' the 'total'. Another hefty number (47) is on the board this week for the trip to Seattle.
Up Next: Away @ Seahawks
4: New York Jets (3-2) (LW: 2) Even though through three quarters, the Jets appeared to be heading to another 'under' game, a wild fourth quarter that saw New York and Miami combine to cross the end zone five times ended up crushing the posted 'total'. With a bad Buffalo team with little offensive production on deck, look for HC Rex Ryan to get a much better effort from his proud defense.
Up Next: Home vs. Bills
5: Oakland Raiders (3-2) (LW: 5) If it wasn't for the fact that Oakland's defense was so bad, the Raiders would never play an 'over' game. That 'D' conceded four touchdowns to the Giants at the drop of a hat last week, and if things don't change for the silver and black, betting 'totals' will be impossible. Who really wants to bet 'over' in a game that JaMarcus Russell is prominently involved in? At least not until he can prove that he can complete more than 40% of his passes week in and week out...
Up Next: Home vs. Eagles
6: St. Louis Rams (3-2) (LW: 4) The same is true for you as well, St. Louis. No one wants to bank on points in a game that QB Kyle Boller is involved in, but the Rams defense is just so bad that you don't want to bet the 'under' either. Man, is it going to be a lot of fun when this team travels to Detroit in a few weeks!
Up Next: Away @ Jaguars
7: Cleveland Browns (3-2) (LW: NR) The Browns found their way into the win column last week, but it sure wasn't because of QB Derek Anderson. He went 2/17 for the day. Yep, you heard that right. He completed two out of 17 passes. No wonder why HC Eric Mangini was busy trying to acquire a quarterback in the offseason. Both Anderson and QB Brady Quinn are awful. 'Under' bettors should ultimately be the big winners, if (and only if) the 'D' can at least provide some sort of resistance on a weekly basis.
Up Next: Away @ Steelers
8: Indianapolis Colts (3-2) (LW: NR) Everyone is paying the highest respect to QB Peyton Manning for the Colts' successes so far in 2009, but that defense should really be getting some props as well. Manning has dropped an average of 27.4 points per game this season. It's really hard to keep a winning record for 'unders' with an offense like that.
Up Next: Bye
