NFL Betting Trends - Week 5 OVER Power Poll
by Mike Rose

Now that the NFL betting season is heading into its fifth week of play, check out how BetUS stacks up the best ‘over’ teams in the country through the first four weeks of play…
1: Philadelphia Eagles (3-0) (LW: 1) The Eagles will regain the services of QB Donovan McNabb this week. 'Over' bettors have been thrilled with the play of backup Kevin Kolb, who has successfully put a lot of points on the board... for both teams.
Up Next: Home vs. Buccaneers
2: Baltimore Ravens (3-1) (LW: 3) Baltimore played yet another high scoring game last week against New England, which has to prompt the question about when the oddsmakers are going to catch up and start hanging higher totals in its games. Unfortunately for 'over' bettors though, the moment that a 45 hits the board, Ray Ray and the Ravens' 'D' are going to kick it into gear.
Up Next: Home vs. Bengals
3: San Diego Chargers (3-1) (LW: 4) San Diego's offense looked lost for over a half of football in the Sunday nighter against Pittsburgh, but all of a sudden woke up and nearly came all the way back from a 28-0 deficit to spring the upset. Even though LT only ran the ball seven times for 15 yards, QB Philip Rivers made sure that the offense did its share to push the game past the number.
Up Next: Bye
4: Minnesota Vikings (3-1) (LW: 8) QB Brett Favre dismantled his old squad on Monday night, but it was a pair of late scores by the Packers that pushed the game past the 'total'. The 118 points that the Vikes have scored this year is second in the NFC to the Giants.
Up Next: Away @ Rams
5: Cincinnati Bengals (3-1) (LW: NR) The Bengals have played three straight 'over' contests since losing the debacle to the Broncos in Week 1, but last week's victory didn't come easily. 'Over' bettors caught a break when Cincy came back from a 20-16 deficit late to tie the game to push the final score past the number.
Up Next: Away @ Ravens
6: Buffalo Bills (3-1) (LW: NR) The good news for 'over' bettors is that Buffalo's no huddle offensive attack has yielded three winners against just one loser. The problem for HC Dick Jauron is that it hasn't really been thanks to the offense. The Bills' 'D' is spending a ton of time on the field, and it's ultimately costing them big time. They gave up 38 points last week to a Miami team that has struggled all year moving the football and were without the services of its starting quarterback.
Up Next: Home vs. Browns
7: Tennessee Titans (3-1) (LW: NR) This is really bad news for the Titans. For a team that was built on running the ball and playing good defense, three 'overs' against one 'under' is a good reason why they're 0-4 SU and just 1-3 ATS. The defense ranks dead last in the NFL against the pass. Where have you gone, Albert Haynesworth?
Up Next: Home vs. Colts
8: Green Bay Packers (3-1) (LW: NR) Don't blame QB Aaron Rodgers for the struggles of the Packers this year. He's thrown for almost 1,100 yards and six TDs against just one pick so far in '09, including a whopping 384 yards and two scores against Brett Favre and the Vikes last Monday night.
Up Next: Bye
