NFL Betting - NFC Week 3 Power Poll

Bookmark and Share by Mike Rose

The NFL betting season has wrapped up two weeks of play, and BetUS Sportsbook takes time out to list what the hottest football gambling teams have been so far this season…

1: New Orleans Saints (2-0 ATS, 2-0 SU) (LW: 1) Has this team REALLY scored 93 points in just two games this season? Not only are the Saints putting up an insane amount of points, but they’re really doing it without getting any real production from any of their “names” at running back. QB Drew Brees is on pace to throw for 5,352 yards and 72 touchdowns this season; I think that would be some sort of record.

Up Next: Away @ Bills (-6)

2: Atlanta Falcons (2-0 ATS, 2-0 SU) (LW: 3) The Falcons probably pushed Carolina HC John Fox one step closer towards getting fired when they beat the Panthers 28-20 on Sunday afternoon. The Saints appear to be the only real challenge to this team this season. We’ll see how Atlanta fares on the road against a New England team due for a dominant performance.

Up Next: Away @ Patriots (+4)

3: San Francisco 49ers (2-0 ATS, 2-0 SU) (LW: 4) Two up, two down for an upstart 49ers squad. Can they extend their lead in the NFC West this week? A victory against Minnesota would go a long way towards announcing their intent to make the playoffs under HC Mike Singletary.

Up Next: Away @ Vikings (+7)

4: Minnesota Vikings (2-0 ATS, 2-0 SU) (LW: 8) Who is this guy wearing #4 in Minnesota and what did he do with Brett Favre? Favre has only thrown for 265 yards and three touchdowns this season, but most importantly, he hasn’t turned the ball over once and the Vikings are still undefeated.

Up Next: Home vs. 49ers (-7)

5: Philadelphia Eagles (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 2) The Eagles looked pretty awful on Sunday against the Saints, but they’ll get a pass considering QB Donovan McNabb didn’t play. QB Kevin Kolb may get the nod again this week if McNabb can’t go, but not only may he be playing to improve Philly’s playoff chances, he may also be playing for his job now that QBs Michael Vick and Jeff Garcia are on the 53-man roster.

Up Next: Home vs. Chiefs (OTB)

6: New York Giants (1-1 ATS, 2-0 SU) (LW: 10) The G-Men stopped the Cowboys and their massive scoreboard from picking up a victory in the first regular season game played at brand spanking new Cowboys Stadium. WRs Mario Manningham and Steve Smith have both been great this season, as the duo has combined to haul in 29 passes for 422 yards and three scores.

Up Next: Away @ Buccaneers (-6.5)

7: Chicago Bears (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 11) It took grit, it took tenacity, and it took some luck down the stretch, but the Bears made a huge statement by beating the Steelers outright on Sunday afternoon as short underdogs. The defense looked good against the champs, but there’s still a big question about how Chicago plans on replacing LB Brian Urlacher; though Hunter Hillenmeyer has filled in admirably thus far.

Up Next: Away @ Seahawks (-1)

8: Seattle Seahawks (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 5) For as good as Seattle looked in Week 1, it looked that bad in Week 2. A bad two touchdown loss to San Francisco was made worse when QB Matt Hasselbeck left the game injured, and as Seahawks bettors proved last year, if he isn’t the one taking snaps, this team is putred.

Up Next: Home vs. Bears (+1)

And the rest…

9: Dallas Cowboys (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 6)

10: Green Bay Packers (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 7)

11: Washington Redskins (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 9)

12: Arizona Cardinals (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) (LW: 14)

13: St. Louis Rams (1-1 ATS, 0-2 SU) (LW: 15)

14: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-2 ATS, 0-2 SU) (LW: 12)

15: Detroit Lions (0-2 ATS, 0-2 ATS) (LW: 13)

16: Carolina Panthers (0-2 ATS, 0-2 SU) (LW: 16)
