College Football Betting Trends - Under Power Poll
by Mike Rose

Even though there have been plenty of offensive fireworks so far in this college football betting season, not every game has been a barnburner. Check out which teams you should be looking to place ‘under’ bets on with BetUS’s NCAA Football ‘under’ power poll this week…
1: Oklahoma Sooners (6-0) (LW: 1) When QB Sam Bradford went down for the Sooners on the second drive of the game against Texas, that pretty much sealed the deal on their sixth straight 'under' to start the season. The 'D' will get tested in a big way this weekend against Kansas, but there's no reason to believe the 3rd ranked unit in the land will struggle.
Up Next: Away @ Kansas
2: Tulsa Golden Hurricane (6-0) (LW: 2) Another week, another struggle for the oddsmakers to properly stick a football point spread on a Tulsa 'total'. Even though the Golden Hurricane hit the backdoor, it wasn't enough to push the Boise State game past the number. It's unthinkable that the team that had the #1 offense in America last season could start with six straight 'under' games in 2009, but that's where Tulsa is at.
Up Next: Away @ UTEP
3: UCF Knights (4-0-1) (LW: 4) UCF had its chances against the Hurricanes, but it just couldn't capitalize on the opportunities and posted yet another game played in the 30s. The Knights have only played one game into the 50’s this season, and that came Week 1 against Samford. The oddsmakers are taking a big chance lining a UCF game in that range this week.
Up Next: Away @ Rice
4: Nebraska Cornhuskers (5-1) (LW: 5) The Black Shirts struggled all day against the Air Raid on Saturday, but the game didn't go 'over' the 'total'. That's a perfect parlay for a disaster for the Huskers against Texas Tech last week, and they crashed out of the Top-25 thanks to the 31-10 defeat. Who knows what to expect next with the QB1 slot up in the air?
Up Next: Home vs. Iowa State
5: Rutgers Scarlet Knights (5-1) (LW: 6) Rutgers comes shooting up into the Top-5 for 'under' bettors this week, but HC Greg Schiano would probably rather not see his squad here. The only reason that his Scarlet Knights have played an 'over' game this season is because his defense was awful that day against the Bearcats. This week's game has the potential to be very, very ugly.
Up Next: Away @ Army
6: Missouri Tigers (5-1) (LW: 9) Mizzou's offense thrived in non-conference play this year, but now that the Big XII season is upon us, the Tigers are proving that they don't have the horses to stick with the big boys. Texas' defense played an awfully angry game against Oklahoma last week, and HC Gary Pinkel can expect a similar look from DC Will Muschamp's unit this weekend.
Up Next: Home vs. Texas
7: Air Force Falcons (5-1) (LW: 10) It's rough when you pitch a shutout and still don't cover a 12-point spread, but that's what the Falcons pulled off last weekend against Wyoming. Though Air Force hasn't scored more than 17 points in a game this month, 'under' bettors are thrilled with the ultimate results.
Up Next: Away @ Utah
8: Ohio State Buckeyes (5-1-1) (LW: 13) Uh-oh, Buckeyes. QB Terrelle Pryor reminded the world that he is still only a sophomore when he turned the ball over five times in Ohio State's shocking defeat against the Boilermakers. Still, if he doesn't start to progress and progress quickly, he'll get the bust tag, and the Buckeyes will probably continue to struggle pushing games past the 'total'.
Up Next: Home vs. Minnesota
And the rest…
9: Marshall Thundering Herd (5-1) (LW: 14)
10: Penn State Nittany Lions (5-2) (LW: 5)
11: Army Black Knights (5-2) (LW: 3)
12: Florida Gators (4-1) (LW: NR)
13: Arizona State Sun Devils (4-1) (LW: NR)
14: Utah Utes (4-1) (LW: NR)
15: Illinois Fighting Illini (4-1-1) (LW: NR)
