College Football Betting Tips - Best OVER Teams
by Mike Rose

College football betting is heading into its eighth week of play, and here is how the best ‘over’ teams in the country through seven weeks stack up…
1: Duke Blue Devils (5-0) (LW: 1) The Dookies had a week off to prepare for this week's huge conference clash against the Terps. No, this won't be a headline game nationally, but HC David Cutcliffe's offense really needs to produce another great day for Duke to think about bowling this year.
Up Next: Home vs. Maryland
2: North Carolina State Wolfpack (6-1) (LW: 4) Good thing the Wolfpack is off this week. Their defense has been absolutely atrocious to say the least. They've allowed at least 30 points in four straight games, all 'over' contests. Since losing 7-3 on opening night, the oddsmakers haven't been able to put a high enough college football point spread on the board to contain NCSU.
Up Next: Bye
3: North Texas Mean Green (5-1) (LW: 5) The Mean Green have been getting great play out of their running game of late, as RB Lance Dunbar has rushed for 524 yards and nine TDs in his L/3 games. The fact that North Texas is 0-3 SU and 1-2 ATS in those three games isn't good news for 'under' bettors either.
Up Next: Away @ Troy
4: Florida International Golden Panthers (5-1) (LW: 8) Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse for Florida International's defense, it turns around and gives up 42 points and 565 yards to Troy. College football 'over' bettors should already love that match-up with North Texas in a few weeks in what will surely be the battle between the resistible force and the moveable object.
Up Next: Away @ Arkansas State
5: Kansas Jayhawks (4-1) (LW: 11) Considering that Kansas was taking on a Colorado squad that was playing its first game with its backup quarterback under center, it's a real shame that Rock Chalk was knocked from the ranks of the unbeatens. However, 'over' bettors continue to rejoice, as it's becoming harder and harder to bet against the offensive trio of QB Todd Reesing, WR Kerry Meier, and WR Dez Briscoe.
Up Next: Home vs. Oklahoma
6: Auburn Tigers (5-2) (LW: 2) Speaking of crying shames against teams with backup quarterbacks... Hey Auburn, what gives with the fact that you lost against Kentucky without QB Mike Hartline on Saturday? There was absolutely no excuse for that poor of an offensive performance, and you deservedly drop in all of the polls for it. Your offense had better get itself in gear in the Bayou, or it's going to be a long day.
Up Next: Away @ LSU
7: Florida State Seminoles (4-2) (LW: 12) HC Bobby Bowden's boys would much rather not be on this list. The Noles have gotten absolutely nothing from their defense this year, as the unit very uncharacteristically ranks 107th in the country in total 'D' (428.2 yards per game). Hopefully for FSU bettors, DC Mickie Andrews got to work with his boys on the bye week to get ready for Carolina.
Up Next: Away @ North Carolina
8: Toledo Rockets (5-2) (LW: 3) Finally, the oddsmakers found a number high enough to contain a Toledo game. Of course, it took a pair of reserve quarterbacks for the Rockets to find a way to beat the Huskies, which is why the 'total' was probably never threatened. Things may get back to normal if QB Aaron Opelt can get back in the saddle this weekend. It's still highly questionable though.
Up Next: Home vs. Temple
And the rest…
9: California Golden Bears (4-2) (LW: 15)
10: BYU Cougars (5-2) (LW: NR)
11: Rice Owls (5-2) (LW: NR)
12: UNLV Rebels (4-2) (LW: 7)
13: UAB Blazers (4-2) (LW: NR)
14: Michigan Wolverines (5-2) (LW: NR)
15: San Jose State Spartans (4-2) (LW: NR)
