College Football Betting – ‘Under’ Power Poll
Even though there have been plenty of offensive fireworks so far in this college football betting season, not every game has been a barnburner. Check out which teams you should be looking to place ‘under’ bets on with BetUS’s NCAA Football ‘under’ power poll this week…
1: Oklahoma Sooners (5-0) (LW: 1) QB Sam Bradford may have thrown for nearly 400 yards in OU's win over Baylor last weekend, but it's still the vaunted Sooners' defense that is carrying this team to 'under' after 'under'. The huge showdown with the Longhorns is on deck.
Up Next: Neutral Site vs. Texas
2: Tulsa Golden Hurricane (5-0) (LW: 2) The oddsmakers had to have a difficult time figuring out how to set a college football spread on tonight's game between Boise State's high-flying offense and Tulsa's run-and-gun. The Golden Hurricane has used its defense to stymie opposing offenses, but this task may prove too tough. 'Under' bettors beware.
Up Next: Home vs. Boise State
3: Army Black Knights (5-1) (LW: 6) Army and Vandy played in one of the uglier games of the season last Saturday, but 'under' bettors still had to worry because the game went into overtime. Fortunately for them, the Black Knights beat the Commodores 3-0 in the extra session, sending football bettors with 'under' tickets back to the windows to cash in. Another sub-40 'total' awaits this week.
Up Next: Away @ Temple
4: UCF Knights (3-0-1) (LW: 3) The Knights took a week off to prepare for another go-around with in-state rival, Miami. Last year, the result was a narrow 20-14 victory for the Canes. Can UCF muster enough offense to score a huge victory on Saturday?
Up Next: Home vs. Miami
5: Nebraska Cornhuskers (4-1) (LW: 7) Mother Nature did her job to help the Cornhuskers keep Thursday night's huge victory over Missouri from threatening the 'total'. The Black Shirts had yet another good game, but Nebraska's defense won't really earn its mantra back unless it shuts down the Air Raid this week.
Up Next: Home vs. Texas Tech
6: Southern California Trojans (4-1) (LW: NR) USC will take its vaunted defense into South Bend this week off of a bye. HC Pete Carroll has had two weeks to figure out how to stop QB Jimmy Clausen and the Irish offense. That's got to be a great thought for 'under' bettors, especially with the Trojans bringing their true freshman QB into yet another of college football's biggest venues.
Up Next: Away @ Notre Dame
7: Rutgers Scarlet Knights (4-1) (LW: 11) Since getting its doors blown off to start the season against Cincinnati, the Scarlet Knights have very quietly settled down into a nice rhythm. Though the level of competition hasn't been nearly as tough, it's still impressive to think that Rutgers has allowed fewer points in its L/4 games (35) than it did in its first one (47). Football betting fans will get a better taste of whether RU is for real or not this week against Pitt.
Up Next: Home vs. Pittsburgh
8: Kansas State Wildcats (4-1) (LW: 4) Shame on you, Kansas State. Sure it was the Air Raid that you had to run up against last week, but Texas Tech was playing with its backup quarterback. There's never an excuse to give up over 700 yards of offense in a game. Needless to say, the Wildcats will hope that the streak of 'unders' returns next week.
Up Next: Home vs. Texas A&M
And the rest…
9: Missouri Tigers (4-1) (LW: NR)
10: Air Force Falcons (4-1) (LW: 14)
11: Nevada Wolfpack (4-1) (LW: 12)
12: Penn State Nittany Lions (4-2) (LW: 5)
13: Ohio State Buckeyes (4-1-1) (LW: NR)
14: Marshall Thundering Herd (4-1) (LW: NR)
15: UCLA Bruins (4-1) (LW: NR)
