NCAA Championship Game - Player Props
by Charles Jay

These are the five props we're playing in Monday night's NCAA title game:
RAYMAR MORGAN - TOTAL POINTS & REBOUNDS
Over 16 -120
Under 16 -110
You know, I just can't hang Morgan out to dry. Early last week we talked in ("Jay's Ways - Basketball Edition") about Raymar Morgan and the leadership he could possibly provide this Michigan State team if he was able to overcome some of the physical problems that had slowed him down in the second half of the season (walking pneumonia, among other things) as well as some of the psychological residue. A broken nose made things awkward for Morgan for a couple of games, then he got form-fitted for a face mask and scored 18 points in the U-Conn game. I'm looking for him to continue with some inspirational play. JAY'S PLAY: OVER 16 (-120)
GORAN SUTON - TOTAL POINTS & REBOUNDS
Over 19.5 -115
Under 19.5 -115
Remember that Suton, who hit only two field goals against U-Conn, had to deal with Hasheem Thabeet, possibly the best defensive center in the college game today. Tyler Hansbrough is not very tall, is not physically imposing against people who are much taller, and is not very much of a defender, truth be told. Suton, who averages eight rebounds a game, can also bring his opponent outside, and there are not many big men who are not lost when they get out on the perimeter. Hansbrough is no exception. No one is going to block Suton's shot when he gets out there, so really it just comes down to whether he is confident in his shot. JAY'S PLAY: OVER 19.5 (-115)
TRAVIS WALTON - TOTAL ASSISTS & POINTS
Over 8 -115
Under 8 -115
This is a little tricky, because Walton has eight assists (and no turnovers, by the way) in Saturday's game against Connecticut. He also scored 18 points against USC in the second round of this tournament. His averages bring him close to this number (5.2 points, 3.4 assists) but in his last 15 games he's made more than one field goal only three times. His role in this game obviously affects what number he lands on (more on that below), but I think he'll be busy enough doing other things, especially in this game, to be overly concerned with scoring. JAY'S PLAY: UNDER 8 (-115)
TY LAWSON - TOTAL POINTS
Over 18.5 -120
Under 18.5 -110
I have a feeling the key priority of Michigan State on defense is to make sure Ty Lawson doesn't take complete control of things on the floor. That means getting him to dish the ball off before he wants to, and restricting him when he tries to drive. My guess is that Travis Walton will be somebody who could wind up shadowing him in this game, and if he wants, he can throw Lawson off his game a little. JAY'S PLAY: UNDER 18.5 (-120)
WAYNE ELLINGTON - TOTAL POINTS
Over 16.5 -115
Under 16.5 -115
There have been many times this year when Ellington has provided offensive spark in games where the offense wasn't necessarily at its best. He's scored 19 points or more in five of the last six games. There are going to be situations where Ty Lawson is drawing some extra attention from the Michigan State guards, and that is going to leave Ellington with some open shots. Regardless of whether Travis Walton or Kalin Lucas is guarding Lawson, Ellington is going to have a height advantage over the other. Unbelievably, Ellington is under-appreciated, being left off the first, second AND third All-ACC team. JAY'S PLAY: OVER 16.5 (-115)
