In this article I have taken some of my favorite props wagers on the board and provided my in-depth analysis in order to aid BetUS NBA sports betting members cash in on tonight’s plethora of Props wagers.
Largest Lead of the Game
Over 15½ Points -115
Under 15½ Points -115
Analysis: The Magic held their largest lead over the Lakers in Game 1 by just five points while L.A.’s biggest lead of the contest was a whopping 28 points, before finishing with a 25-point victory.
In Game 2 the largest lead for any team was a 7-point margin for the Lakers. The Magic could only muster up a three-point lead, which of course, they gave away late in regulation before choking in overtime.
While the Magic are playing at home tonight – and I like them to win – I don’t see them – or L.A. – going up by 16 points on the other team. Take the Under in this props wager as it is as close to a ‘lock’ as it gets.
NBA Free Picks: Under 15½ Points
Total Three-Point Shots Made in the game
Over 15 ½ -115
Under 15 ½ -115
Analysis: In Game 1, the Magic made 8 of 23 three-pointers (.348 percent) compared to L.A.’s 3-for-9 (.333 percent) effort from beyond the arc, for a combined 11 treys in the game.
In Game 2 Orlando shot 10-for-30 (.333 percent) from three-point land while the Lakers made 5-of-15 from downtown (.333 percent) for a combined 15 three-pointers.
Neither games has surpassed the set O/U total for this props wager and I don’t suspect it will tonight either even with the Magic playing at home.
Take the Under here BetUS NBA betting fanatics.
NBA Free Picks: Under 15½ Made Three-Pointers
Winning Margin
Lakers by 1-2 pts +850
Lakers by 3-6 pts +600
Magic by 3-6 Pts +350
Magic by 7-9 Pts +550
Analysis: Well, this pick clearly depends on which team respective bettors like to win tonight’s contest. As I’ve already picked the Magic to win and cover the spread with just a bit of wiggle room to spare, I say take the Magic to win by 3-6 points tonight.
Throw out the opening game of these Finals and the last four games between these ballclubs have all been decided by five points or less.
NBA Free Picks: Magic by 3-6 Points
Kobe Bryant Total Points
Over 33 -105
Under 33 -125
Analysis: Bryant exploded for 40 points in Game 1 after Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy foolishly decided to play the unstoppable offensive force one-on-one for the entire contest (duh). In Game 2, Bryant toned down his offensive act for a more all-around game, scoring 29 points while dishing out eight assists. However, I like Bryant to top the 33-point O/U total for this props wager as he helps to lead his team against the barrage of insults and negative comments that are sure to come from Orlando’s boisterous fans.
I like Bryant to ‘silence the crowd’ on more than one occasion tonight while scoring just over tonight’s 33-point props O/U total.
NBA Free Picks: Kobe Bryant Over 33 Total Points
Bryant Total Rebounds and Assists
Over 12½ -110
Under 12½ -120
Analysis: Bryant had 8 rebounds and 8 assists in Game 1 before following that up with 8 assists and four rebounds in Game 2. With Bryant likely doing a bit more scoring tonight and less passing, I think the Lakers’ superstar stays just Under tonight’s 12½-rebound/assist O/U total. In the last four meetings between the teams, Bryant has gone 2-2 against tonight’s set O/U total for this props wager.
NBA Free Picks: Under 12½ Total Rebounds and Assists
Pau Gasol Total Points
Over 18 -110
Under 18 -120
Analysis: Gasol scored 16 points in Game 1 before putting up 24 points in Game 2. Gasol however, failed to reach the 14-point plateau in both regular season contests between the NBA finalists and will be hard-pressed to reach 18 points tonight playing on the road. I think Gasol reverts back to his normally ‘soft’ style of play and stays Under the 18-point O/U total tonight.
NBA Free Picks: Gasol Under 18 Total Points
Lamar Odom Total Points
Over 12½ Points -115
Under 12½ Points -115
Analysis: Odom dropped 19 points on the Magic in game 2 following an 11-point effort in Game 1. Odom scored 17 points against the Magic at home on Jan. 16 and just four points against the Magic on the road on Dec. 20. Unlike Gasol, I think Odom brings it tonight as he easily tops the set O/U total in this props wager.
NBA Free Picks: Lamar Odom Over 12½ Total Points
Dwight Howard Total Points
Over 21 Points -125
Under 21 Points -105
Analysis: Howard scored 17 points in Game 2 following a Game 1 performance in which he took just six field goal attempts and scored a grand total of 12 points. While Howard is struggling against the sky rise-high front line of the Lakers, I think he goes just Over the 21-point O/U total playing in front of the home fans tonight. Howard scored 25 points against the Lakers in their second regular season meeting this season after putting up 18 in the Magic’s first meeting against the Lakers this season.
NBA Free Picks: Dwight Howard Over 21 Total Points
Dwight Howard Total Rebounds and Blocked Shots
Over 18 -115
Under 18 -115
Analysis: Howard had 16 rebounds and four blocks in Game 2 following his Game 1 performance of 15 rebounds and two blocks. Howard topped this O/U props total in one of the teams’ two regular season meetings, giving Howard a solid 50-50 chance at going Over tonight’s set O/U total for this props wager. I like Howard to hit the glass hard tonight as he approached 20 rebounds, while blocking at least three Lakers shots.
NBA Free Picks: Dwight Howard Over 18 Total Rebounds and Blocked Shots
Rashard Lewis Total Points
Over 19½ Points -115
Under 19½ Points -115
Analysis: Lewis scored a game-high 34 points in Game 2 after scoring just 8 in the Finals’ opening game. Lewis totaled 22 points and 16 points respectively In the teams’ two regular season meetings.
I like the Over in this contest with Lewis coming off a fantastic performance in Game 2 and playing at home tonight. Take the Over here NBA sports betting enthusiasts with Lewis’ confidence likely soaring coming into tonight’s contest.
NBA Free Picks: Rashard Lewis Over 19½ Total Points
