NBA Betting - NBA’s Hottest Teams ATS

The NBA sports betting regular season is coming to a close at BetUS Sportsbook, and the following teams have been red hot for NBA bettors over the last week of action:

(RANK) (TEAM) (SU RECORD) (ATS RECORD) (ATS RECORD L/5 +$$)

1) Memphis Grizzlies (22-56) (36-41-1 ATS) (5-0 ATS L/5 +$500): I was hesitant to include the Grizzlies in the final “Who’s Hot ATS” article of the regular season, but what the heck… It’s the first time they’ve found themselves on this list all season long, so I might as well go ahead and give them their due. Since getting pummeled at the hands of the Portland Trailblazers back in late March (86-66), the Grizz have rattled off six straight ATS covers for NBA bettors. A tall feat for a club that’s won just 22 games the entire season. Over its L/5 games, Memphis has outscored its opposition 99.4-97.6 and picked up outright wins as underdogs at Golden State and Milwaukee. They also came real close to knocking both Orlando and Portland off in each of their last two games played. Memphis certainly has a ton of talent stockpiled within its roster after years of bringing up the rear in the NBA standings. Hopefully they continue playing at an excelled level, and carry the success over into the 2009-10 season.

2) Denver Nuggets (49-26) (40-34-1 ATS) (3-2 ATS L/5 +$80): To the Blazers dismay, Carmelo and company are red hot reeling in SU wins in nine of their L/10 and ATS victories in seven of those 10 match-ups. Over their L/5 hardwood battles, the Nuggets outscored their opposition 115.4-102.2, and hit the 100-point plateau in each of their L/10 games averaging a shade over 114 PPG. They rattled off three commanding pointspread covers in a row against Utah, Los Angeles (Clippers), and Minnesota before coming up a 3-ball short of getting the job done against Oklahoma City their last time out.

With only three regular season games left on the docket and a 2.5-game lead over Portland for the top spot in the Northwest Division, it would take a monumental collapse for them to relinquish their hold on the Eastern Conference’s #2 seed. Look for Chauncey and company to see it the whole way through…

3) Boston Celtics (56-19) (39-36 ATS) (3-2 ATS L/5 +$80): With only four games left on its regular season docket and a four-game deficit in the overall Eastern Conference standings, it looks as if Boston will concede home court advantage to the Cavaliers in the playoffs. That however hasn’t stopped Paul Pierce and company from going out every night and giving a max effort. Even with Kevin Garnett hobbled, the Celtics have reeled in the profits for their NBA betting backers of late. In their L/10 games, the defending champs are 9-1 SU & 6-4 ATS with outright wins at San Antonio and Atlanta. PP #34’s effort in Orlando saw the Celtics cover as short 3.5-point pups, but they cost $$$-Line betting backers in the 84-82 defeat. Lebron and the Cavs might be getting all the accolades this season, but don’t make the mistake of counting this experienced bunch out. In the meantime, they’ll look to further improve their regular season SU & ATS marks and hold onto the #2 seed in the East when they close out their regular season schedule against Miami, Cleveland, Philadelphia, and Washington.

And the rest….

4) Philadelphia 76ers (40-37) (36-39-2 ATS) (4-1 ATS L/5 +$290)

5) Portland Trailblazers (50-28) (41-36 ATS) (3-2 ATS L/5 +$80)

6) Miami Heat (41-37) (37-39-2 ATS) (3-2 ATS L/5 +$80)

7) Dallas Mavericks (47-31) (38-40 ATS) (3-2 ATS L/5 +$80)
