NBA’s Coldest Teams ATS - Who's NOT Hot
by Mike Rose

The NBA online betting regular season is now in its stretch run before the post-season, and the following teams have been ice cold for BetUS Sportsbook NBA bettors throughout the last week of play:
(RANK) (TEAM) (SU RECORD) (ATS RECORD) (ATS RECORD L/5 -$$)
1) Golden State Warriors (26-49) (33-38-3 ATS) (1-4 ATS L/5 -$340): Wednesday night’s track meet overtime victory against the Sacramento Kings snapped Head Coach Don Nelson’s clubs five game SU losing streak, but the two-point victory saw the Warriors fail to cover the spread for the fourth consecutive game. Golden State is 1-4 SU & ATS its L/5 outings and got outscored 123.8-116 during that stretch. Yes, you read that right….the Warriors allowed a whopping 123.8 points per game the L/5 times they took the court. Think this club’s counting the days before they can hit the links in the off-season? The Warriors already possess the league’s worst defense (#30 at 112.9 PPG), but the close to 11 PPG disparity in their recent play is simply uncalled for. They have scored 106 or more in each of their L/5 games, but their turnstile defense should keep all NBA bettors away from backing this club throughout the remainder of the regular season. You might want to fade them big in their rematch against the Kings on Sunday as Sacramento really let that game get away from them, and they lost outright the last two times they were installed short Arco Arena favorites against the Memphis Grizzlies and OK City Thunder.
2) Atlanta Hawks (43-32) (41-33-1 ATS) (1-4 ATS L/5 -$340): After rattling off eight straight pointspread victories for pro basketball bettors, the Hawks have run dormant recently managing one lone cover in their L/5 tries. After pushing on the 12-point spread against the Minnesota Timberwolves, both the San Antonio Spurs and Boston Celtics invaded Phillips Arena and escaped with SU victories. Joe Johnson and company bounced back with a big win against the Los Angeles Lakers in a game Kobe Bryant struggled mightily in, but then they went out to Philadelphia and got crushed by the Sixers. Having already clinched a playoff berth and being seemingly locked into the 4th seed, it looks as if Head Coach Mike Woodson has his squad on cruise control as they prepare for the post-season. They better be careful though since the schedule still has Boston, Orlando, and Miami still on it along with Toronto and Indiana; both have relished taking on the role of spoiler with some big wins throughout the last week of NBA action.
3) Utah Jazz (-24) (35-34-2 ATS) (1-4 ATS L/5 -$340): The Northwest Division of the Western Conference is a jumbled mess heading into the last two weeks of play, and unfortunately, the Jazz find themselves playing third fiddle to both Denver and Portland in the standings. They currently sit 2.5-games in back of the division leading Nuggets going into tonight’s game at the Pepsi Center. Though their 3-2 SU their L/5 games and barely outscored their opponents 106.6-106.4 during that stretch, the Jazz cost their betting backers by managing to cover just one of those five sports betting contests; that being the 99-86 beat down of the Houston Rockets at home back on March 24th. The defense has played 6+ PPG worse than its seasonal average of just over 100 points per game, and that’s just not going to get it done in the playoffs against other highly talented offensive Western Conference teams. In the wake of Head Coach Jerry Sloan’s loss in the family, look for him to get into his teams ear about their poor defensive play and really look to lock it down these last couple weeks. With them being such a poor road team this season, look for them to go all out and to try secure the Northwest Division crown to assure themselves of home court advantage in the playoffs.
And the rest….
4) Detroit Pistons (36-39) (32-43 ATS) (2-3 ATS L/5 -$130)
5) New Jersey Nets (31-44) (38-36-1 ATS) (2-3 ATS L/5 -$130)
6) Minnesota Timberwolves (21-54) (33-40-2 ATS) (2-3 ATS L/5 -$130)
7) Oklahoma City Thunder (21-53) (43-29-1 ATS) (2-3 ATS L/5 -$130)
