NBA Power Rankings - The King's Cavs Back on Top

The Cleveland Cavaliers return to the top spot in the NBA Power Rankings after dominating the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday and covering the spread in the BetUS online sportsbook.
Without a doubt, Cleveland has been the top team for bettors since the NBA Season started in late 2008. Cleveland continues to be exceptional at home. They have lost only one regular season game under their own roof. That’s remarkable.
Let’s get to the power rankings.
NBA Power Rankings
1. Cleveland Cavaliers 45-28 ATS - - They’ve covered 3 out of their last 4 games and two in a row against Minnesota and Dallas. The cover against Dallas, they were giving the Mavs 8 ½, was fantastic. Cleveland is unbeatable at home which is one of the reasons they could be the best team in the Eastern Conference once the playoffs start.
2. Los Angeles Lakers 38-35 ATS - - Their record against the spread isn’t awesome and they did lose straight up and ATS versus the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday, but before that they had covered in four games in a row. The Lakers are the best team in the Western Conference and more often than not will make bettors happy.
3. Orlando Magic 45-26-1 ATS - - The Magic have won 5 games in a row but they’ve only covered in 2 out of the 5. Still, this team has been solid for gamblers all year. That has to count for something.
4. Utah Jazz 37-35 ATS - - They haven’t covered in their last two and they’re still having trouble winning games on the road. So why the lofty ranking? Because after the Magic, Lakers and Cavs, things get tight in terms of teams ATS. Utah is still a solid bet at home to cover more than they lose as they have gone 21 and 16 at the Delta Center against the spread.
5. Boston Celtics 39-36 ATS - - They’ve gone 5 and 1 against the spread in their last 6 games including a 2 point loss at +3 ½ against the Magic. That means that the Men in Green are back as a viable option for gamblers.
6. Houston Rockets 36-37-1 ATS - - They still have a losing record against the spread but they’ve gone 3 and 1 ATS in their last 4 games and the lone loss ATS was against the Jazz on the road. So, they’re playing well enough for gamblers to consider betting on them in most games.
7. Atlanta Hawks 40-30 ATS - - They’ve gone 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games including a victory straight up and against the spread versus the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. I’m not sure, though, if bettors haven’t missed the boat with the Hawks. I mean, even though they’ve gone 7-2-1 in their last 10, 6 of those wins ATS happened in the first 6 games of the 10.
8. Denver Nuggets 40-33-1 ATS - - They’ve won four straight games against the spread including a loss to Phoenix by only 3 points at +3 ½ in the sportsbook. Denver is a solid wager on most nights when they hit the court, but they win ATS in streaks so bettors must be careful with them.
9. Charlotte Bobcats 43-30 ATS - - Charlotte sure looks like a solid bet in most games but bettors need to be wary of these guys as 8 of their final 12 games are on the road. How good will they do on the road against the spread at the end of a long season? Nobody can be sure.
10. Oklahoma City Thunder 42-29-1 ATS - - The Thunder have been exceptional for bettors this season against the spread, but things are finally looking down for gamblers who have made a killing on these guys. They’ve lost their last three games ATS and just look like a tired team.
