NBA Playoff Betting - Eastern Conference Power Poll
by Mike Rose

Eastern Conference Playoff betting is all set at BetUS Sportsbook, and the following entails how the top 8 seeds stacked up against one another for NBA bettors against the spread…
1: Cleveland Cavaliers (50-32 ATS, 66-16 SU, #1 seed in Eastern Conference) The Cavs had the best marks both SU and ATS in the league. They were 28-13-1 ATS at the ‘Q’ this season, and will have the home court advantage every step of the way in the playoffs. Cleveland went just 2-8 ATS in its L/10 games as favorites of at least eight points, which is terrible news considering how heavily favored the Cavs are going to be in each game this series.
Up Next: vs. Detroit Pistons (-12)
2: Orlando Magic (49-32-1 ATS, 59-23 SU, #3 seed in Eastern Conference) Will the real Orlando Magic please stand up? The Magic looked more like the Tragic in the final four games of the regular season, as the squad was beaten by double digits against the Knicks, Nets, and Bucks before beating Charlotte in a de facto preseason game the final game of the regular season. However, the Magic swept their season series with the Sixers both SU and ATS.
Up Next: Philadelphia 76ers (-9.5)
3: Boston Celtics (43-39 ATS, 65-17 SU, #2 seed in Eastern Conference) Relatively speaking, the Celtics had a questionable season. The defending champs “only” won 65 games and finished second in the Eastern Conference. Boston has been without the services of PF Kevin Garnett for its L/9 games and it could be without its superstar forward for the rest of the season. Though the team clearly isn’t as good without Garnett, the C’s went 16-7 SU but a bankroll bursting 8-15 ATS without him in the lineup.
Up Next: Chicago Bulls (-8.5)
4: Atlanta Hawks (43-38-1 ATS, 47-35 SU, #4 seed in Eastern Conference) Atlanta nearly shocked the world last season and pushed the Celtics to the brink of elimination in the first round of the playoffs. This year, the Hawks snuck up on no one, but still finished with a winning season for sports betting fans. Atlanta and Miami split the season series both SU and ATS, so tight NBA betting odds in the series should be expected.
Up Next: Miami Heat (-4.5)
5: Chicago Bulls (42-39-1 ATS, 41-41 SU, #7 seed in Eastern Conference) The Baby Bulls qualified for the postseason thanks to the fact that they won 12 of their L/16 games. The good news for Bulls bettors is that their last game with the defending champs was a 127-121 victory. The bad news is that they had failed to cover the previous seven meetings.
Up Next: Boston Celtics (+8.5)
6: Miami Heat (40-40-2 ATS, 43-39 SU, #5 seed in Eastern Conference) It’s pretty clear that the Miami Heat will only go as far as G Dwayne Wade takes them. Wade led the league in scoring with 30.2 points per game, and is the heart and soul of this team. Miami bettors finished the season strong, as they covered six of their L/8 games.
Up Next: Atlanta Hawks (+4.5)
7: Philadelphia 76ers (36-44-2 ATS, 41-41 SU, #6 seed in Eastern Conference) The 76ers were the team that prevented the Cavs from winning their 40th game at home on the final night of the regular season, and the win came just at the right time. Though there was never a doubt as to whether Philly would reach the playoffs or not, no one wants to carry a seven-game losing streak into the postseason. Still, Sixers bettors have failed to cover five straight spreads.
Up Next: Orlando Magic (+9.5)
8: Detroit Pistons (34-48 ATS, 39-43 SU, #8 seed in Eastern Conference) Has the acquisition of G Allen Iverson totally dismantled the chemistry of the Pistons? It sure appears that way after the boys from Motown limped to the finish line of the season. Now they face the daunting task of having to take on LeBron and the gang. No wonder why they’re 35-1 underdogs to win the seven-game set…
Up Next: Cleveland Cavaliers (+12)
