NBA Betting Tips - Hottest UNDER Teams
by Mike Rose

The NBA sports betting playoffs are two weeks away, and the following teams have been solid investments for NBA ‘Under’ bettors at BetUS Sportsbook throughout the last week of betting action:
(RANK) (TEAM) (SU RECORD) (O/U RECORD) (O/U RECORD L/5 +$$)
1) Cleveland Cavaliers (61-13) (31-43 O/U) (0-5 O/U L/5 +$500): Along with running rampant on the entire league by holding the league’s best SU record at 61-13, the Cavaliers have cashed ‘under’ bettors tickets in each of their last five games; that streak extends to 7-3 ATS the L/10 games. To date, the offense has averaged an even 100 points per game to rank out 13th amongst the 30 overall teams in the league. Most impressive however has been the Cavs play on the defensive end of the court where they rank #1 overall surrendering an average of just 90.7 PPG. During this current ‘under’ streak, the Cavs have allowed an average of just 81.4 PPG, which for all you math majors out there is 9+ points below their seasonal average. The last team to register triple digits on this defense was Sacramento back on March 13th in a game the Cavs won 126-123 in overtime. This club is flat out balling defensively right now limiting its last two opponents (Detroit & Dallas) to a combined average of just 73.5 points. With home court seemingly locked up throughout the post-season, the Cavaliers could reel the NBA Championship in for the first time in the franchises existence provided they continue to play lock-down “D” and Lebron and company continue their efficient offensive ways….
2) Los Angeles Lakers (59-16) (38-36 O/U) (1-4 O/U L/5 +$290): The Lakers offense really tapered off on the back end of their eight-game road trip to cash ‘under’ bettors tickets four of the L/5 times they laced ‘em up. They averaged just 91.8 PPG during that stretch, which is 15+ points per game fewer than their 107.1 PPG seasonal average. Though the offense has struggled, the defense has picked up its intensity by limiting their L/5 opponents to an average of just 90 PPG; that’s nearly 10 PPG less than their seasonal average of 99.7 PPG. Hopefully the offense will rediscover its shooting touch at home where they’ve been an ‘over’ team this season (20-16 O/U). With the Western Conference top seed all but locked up, Head Coach Phil Jackson might be taking his foot off the gas pedal. If he is, it could be a grave mistake since the Lakers viewed not having home court advantage in the NBA Finals against Boston as one of the main reasons they dropped the series.
3) Miami Heat (39-36) (40-34 O/U) (1-4 O/U L/5 +$290): Miami’s been a fantastic story out on the east coast this season after struggling through a horrendous campaign a year ago. Dwayne Wade is having an MVP caliber season, and Head Coach Erik Spoelstra has done a great job in his first year at the helm. The Heat currently finds themselves on the six-line in the Eastern Conference Playoff race, but their recent play should have their fans, and betting backers, a bit worried. Besides dropping 4 of their L/5 SU, the Heat scored close to four-points less than their seasonal average over that stretch. For a team that only averages 98.1 PPG, that’s not good considering the top three seeds in the East are defensive stalwarts. D-Wade can’t do it all, so somebody else on the Heat’s roster has to start churning out some consistent offense.
And the rest…..
4) Denver Nuggets (49-26) (38-37 O/U) (1-4 O/U L/5 +$290)
5) Dallas Mavericks (45-30) (34-41 O/U) (1-4 O/U L/5 +$290)
6) Houston Rockets (48-27) (37-38 O/U) (2-3 O/U L/5 +$80)
7) Orlando Magic (55-19) (34-40 O/U) (2-3 O/U L/5 +$80)
